“The Pine Cats” are a New York based band that plays a combination of Americana, Blues, Roots, and Jam music. The band’s members, John Putnam (guitar and vocals), and Mike Visceglia (bass), are born and bred New Yorkers and have played and/or recorded with everyone from John Cale, Suzanne Vega, Christopher Cross, David Bromberg, Jorma Kaukonen, Jackson Browne, and Bette Midler, to Madonna (Papa Don’t Preach), Rufus Thomas, Cyndin Lauper, Southside Johnny, Bernard Purdie. Richard Shindell and Jimmy Cliff.

Their first album, “Bedouin Breakfast,” was self-produced and features several luminary musicians, such as: Jerry Marotta, Larry Campbell, Josh Dion, Brian Mitchell, Denny McDermott, and more. Their first single “Shine,” is now getting airplay on indie radio stations, and the band is now performing shows around the East coast in support of the record.
